Real Deals | Midlife Co-investments Take Off with GPs Looking to Share the Risk
Originally published by Real Deals on July 24, 2025
Midlife co-investments allow sponsors to retain or co-control ownership of a business while bringing in additional capital, sharing risk and providing returns to limited partners. The process, however, can be challenging to execute.
Jonathan Graham, Managing Director and Head of Lincoln’s Private Funds Advisory Group in Europe, recently spoke to Real Deals about the rise of these investments and key considerations for sponsors.
“Success really comes down to proper alignment about the goals of the business going forward, including how to make difficult decisions and agree on timelines,” said Graham.
