Nordian has sold MYLAPS to Garmin
MYLAPS
MYLAPS Sports Technology (MYLAPS) is a leading Dutch provider of integrated timing, live tracking and performance analysis tools that helps create the ultimate sports experience for millions of athletes and spectators. With operations in North America, Europe, Asia and Australia, MYLAPS supports elite brands and race management companies around the world with easy-to-use data-driven technology solutions for running, cycling, equine and motor sports competitions. MYLAPS is headquartered in Haarlem, the Netherlands, and employs more than 200 full-time employees.
The Deal
Under a successful partnership with Nordian, MYLAPS has developed into a leading global sports tech powerhouse, providing performance tracking and race management solutions across motorized, active and equine sports end markets. To support MYLAPS in its continued strong growth trajectory, the shareholders and management decided to attract a new partner. Lincoln International acted as the exclusive sell-side financial advisor, running a high-pace competitive process, during which Garmin emerged as the ideal partner for MYLAPS due to their strong global network, complementary technology foundation, and shared values and vision.
Our Perspective
Monika Nickl, Lincoln International Managing Director who led the transaction, commented, “The acquisition of MYLAPS by Garmin represents an exciting new chapter for MYLAPS. Combining MYLAPS’ expertise in data-driven sports technology with Garmin’s complementary capabilities, the company is well-positioned to accelerate its growth and shape the future of performance tracking and race management solutions. We are proud to have advised on this transaction and look forward to seeing MYLAPS thrive in its next chapter.”
